Sailing through legends and regattas

The Rafael Verdera has regularly taken part in the prestigious historic boat regatta, ‘Almirante Conde de Barcelona’, which is held every August in the bay of Palma de Mallorca. The Verdera, sailing under the ‘Unique Vessels’ category, has been recognised many times as the oldest participating boat, an honour that pays tribute to her extraordinary history and graceful silhouette at sea.

She has also charted a course through the legendary ‘Ruta de la Sal, the iconic Easter regatta around the Pityusic Islands (Ibiza, Formentera and other smaller islands). The Verdera played a role in the earliest history of this regatta, including taking part in the very first edition in 1846. She has also participated in more recent incarnations of the event, setting sail from Barcelona or Denia, depending on whether following the northern or southern route.
